VOP 90.3 FM, Station For the masses
Even though there are over 40 radio stations in Lagos State, Nigerian masses are still lamenting about not being able to air their views on national and even local issues. Most of them are lamenting that there is no radio station that they can really call their own. It is because of this that some award-winning journalists, like Rufia Oseni, Taiwo Olapede, Peter Anosike, Nesta Sani, among others have come together to run a station like no other.
According to Rufia Oseni, even though there are over 40 radio stations in Lagos state,there is still a vacuum that is yet to be filled. He said that the reason is that the voice of ordinary people is not really being heard. He said that the vision of the voice of the people 90.3FM is to provide a platform where the ordinary masses who are the majority in the society would be speaking their minds on issues that concern them.
“We are out to run a human angle radio station, a radio station that truly cares for the masses. In fact, a masses-owned radio station. Our radio station is out to represent the unrepresented, to give the silent majority the platform to be airing their views.
We are going to come out with never–heard–before- programs. We want to make broadcasting interactional. We want the masses to speak while we listen and help to solve their problems. In a few weeks, we will be on the air, doing what we know how to do best.”Oseni said.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to run a people-owned Radio station. To provide a platform for the people to air their views on different issues of concern. We also intend to impact positively on the lives of the people, especially the youths who occupy the largest number of the nation’s population.
VISION
We intend to change the narrative in Lagos and the nation at large through our variety of quality programmes that will address various day-to-day societal challenges. Our aim within a short period of time is to become number one in the industry.
