Wharfedale Speaker – Impact 215L – Double Top Speakers
The IMPACT 215L is now designed to cosmetically fit alongside the successful EVP-X models onstage. The IMPACT Series has become well known for its advanced transducers and road-ready construction. The two, dual-layer 2.5” voice coil 15” LF drivers deliver stable and smooth transitions for low through to mid-range frequencies. The 44mm titanium diaphragm HF driver is equally as advanced. Using a solid aluminum rear plate, the HF compression driver is strengthened for durability and heat is dissipated efficiently in prolonged high volume situations. To match with other models in the IMPACT series a 90° x 60° elliptical waveguide is used for wide and consistent coverage.

Full-Range Impact
The Impact 215L has a desirable high power capacity and clarity, 700W RMS (2800W peak) of power is produced, spanning down to a 40Hz low-end. For high frequency, a 1.75″ titanium diaphragm compression driver produces a powerful yet neutral sounding high end. Both the HF and 2 x 15” LF drivers have been newly developed for this loudspeaker series, engineered and acoustically matched to an extremely durable MDF cabinet.
Built to take an Impact
The Impact 215L is ready for whatever life on tour throws at it. The strong wooden cabinets are covered in textured black paint to give a durable yet stylish finish, which brings a professional look to any sound reinforcement environment. The finish is extremely hard wearing and is leagues above any other carpet-covered cabinet in the same price point.
90° x 60° Elliptical waveguides
For wide and smooth coverage a 90° x 60° elliptical waveguide has been selected. In real-world terms, this means that the higher frequencies can be heard with a definition at 90° in the horizontal plane, and 60° in the vertical. All models in the Impact series use this same elliptical waveguide design which makes for controllable coverage when using multiple Impact series loudspeakers.
